Horticultural Courses at Godinton

RHS Certificate in Horticulture (Level 2)
Tuesdays 9:30am - 2pm
Beginning September 2008
A nationally recognised qualification for those intending to pursue a professional career in horticulture and dedicated amateur gardeners who wish to have their skills formally assessed. Sessions include tutorials to support students through the programme.

Fraternity of Prince Arthur
Have a Go at Longbow Archery in the park

The Fraternity of Prince Arthur will teach you the basic techniques for shooting at the Marks; a traditional form of archery.   The tuition and archery session will take one hour.    Sessions will run at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. Register at least 30 minutes before each session. Gates open at 12pm.

£15 per person to include the hire of bows, arrows, insurance and entrance to the parkland. Delphinium Week in the Gardens. A week dedicated to the Queen of border plants, beginning on Sunday with the Delphinium Society open day. Plants for sale... advice free! 
Closing on the following sunday with the Hardy Plant Society's plant fair.

Summer Tasks Workshops with a lecturer from Hadlow College and Vivien Hunt, Head Gardener at Godinton  

9.30am to 12.30pm

The course includes pruning; shrubs; herbaceous borders, propagation, glasshouse work and seasonal jobs.

Please bring suitable clothing and footwear, secateurs and a knife in preparation for hands-on activity.  £35.00 per person

Open Air Concert in the Gardens by the Invicta Singers
Sacred & secular music including songs from the shows.  Concert starts at 7pm, gardens open at 6pm for picnics.  Bring a rug or low backed chair.

King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table

‘King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table’ is a brand new production from Chapterhouse with a script especially commissioned from the world famous stories of Camelot, Arthur and Merlin. In the fantastical world of Medieval Knights, join a company of travelling players as they tell the heroic deeds of perhaps the greatest King of any time or place. From humble beginnings as a servant, to the drawing of the sword from the stone, through to the creation of Camelot. Join Arthur on his journey as his tale unfolds with sword, sorcery and song. A wonderful new production for families and children of all ages.’
